Blu
Hi there. I have a budgie and he is a mixture of violet and Cobalt. His name is
Blu and he is my best friend. He likes to talk to me and together we try new foods. He hates silverbeet! His fav food is carrot
tops and whatever I am eating. We are best friends and always will be. I love my bird!
From Holly, budgie fan
Sparky I have a Budgie called Sparkie and he is my best friend. Sometimes
he sits
on my knee in the lounge watching a film with me or playing with the thread
as I try to do my crosstitch pictures. He also tries to scratch his face on
his veg clip, so I get him out of his cage and scratch his neck for him.
Then he usually jumps on my shoulder and nibbles my neck and my hair.
I've had Sparky for about 4-5 months and his birthday is on the 7 of April.
He's sky blue with white and dark-grey wings.

Gandalf
I got my budgie Gandalf when he was six weeks
old, after spending alot of time convincing my parents! His name comes from the fact that his is a gorgeous grey-blue colour
(Gandalf the Grey from Lord of the Rings by Tolkien). Training him was an interesting experience, as he just loved to avoid
me on purpose, to get attention I think. This is where "Pretty Girl" his toy budgie comes in. I decided to use a jealousy
tactic, so i started cuddling and talking to Pretty Girl. This was met with a few squaks of protest from Gandalf before he
came and sat on my hand and started gently nibbling my fingers, ever since them he has been very happy in my company! I never
realised how full of personality budgies were before i got my own. Unfortunetly, Gandalf now has Psitticine Beak and Feather
disease, a horrible disease that causes budgies feathers to fall out and there beaks to crack, but i still think he is beautiful.

Stanley
Stanley was 5 weeks when I got her, she spent the
first 3 weeks nesting in my clothes, she was always with me. In the mornings I would have breakfast in bed, and she would
eat some of my yogurt and omlet from my mouth (she hates chewing!) and at the end, when I'd finished drinking my water, I'd
offer her the glass, tipped so that the small amount of water at the bottom covered the side of the glass, and Stanley would
walk in, kick up the water, spash around and thouroughly enjoy herself. It was so cute... I'm sorry I don't have any pictures
of it to show you.

My budgie came to me when she was a month old.Being
alone for 4 months
with me ,she loved me to pieces-let me scratch her head, her navy-blue
spotted cheeks ,her beak and top of belly.Sang to me and loved me but
lonely when I was out for hours at a time so in comes Sunflower-an
absolute darling of a yellow bird with a super temperament. They fall in
love and never stop kissing and caressing.Talked to them about me and
they are now more apart but very close too and play a lot. They don't
let me stroke them & in fact Twinkles does a biting action each time I
put my finger in the cage. That is the story of my 2 Budgies and right
now they're playing and warbling with contentment.
